Natasha Wright is a New Zealand-born artist based in New York City. Her work explores historical representations of women as subjects, while taking inspiration from art history, advertising and fashion. Figurative and abstract elements are mixed in her works to produce complex, multi-layered pieces that reference traditional portraits in modern contexts.

Captured here at her latest exhibition ‘Les Biches,’ which is now available to view at Sanderson Contemporary Art Gallery in Auckland from the 18th April - 12th May 2024.
